The Series 800, more commonly known as the T-800, is a type of Terminator utilized for infiltration and combat purposes. Mass produced by Skynet during the War Against the Machines, it was the first type of machine that could infiltrate the Resistance due to the successful incorporation of living tissue onto its endoskeleton.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's portrayal of a T-800 as the titular antagonist of The Terminator (1984) was simply referred to as Terminator in the credits, which has led the T-800 to being the de facto Terminator in popular culture.
